Congratulations to Ed King as the 2010 Texas State Champion, who has won it ever year since Faye restarted the District 8 in 2007.
Ken Shultz withdrew due to family illness.
Faye Harvell said, "We had a wonderful tournament, plenty to eat and drink, with Hugh & Judy Hawkins and daughter-in-law's help with bar-b-que, baked beans & buns. Pies, sweet bread, and potato salad by the Harvells."
GM stands for Grand Master, IM for International Master, and CM for Candidate Master, which are earned titles given to distinguish players by WCDF.
